Josep Vidal-Alaball: I am a family physician and PhD in telemedicine, currently leading the Research and Innovation Unit in Primary Care in Central Catalonia. I combine clinical work in rural primary care with the coordination of research projects focused on improving healthcare services through digital health, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine. As an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, I am actively involved in academic teaching and the supervision of doctoral theses. My research is applied and interdisciplinary, aiming to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare, particularly in rural settings. I also collaborate in several European projects and contribute to international networks promoting rural health innovation.
